Flavio Nati

Flavio Nati is a young classical guitarist, appreciated for his “maturity and quality of the highest level” whose concerts have been described as “an authentic experience for the various styles masterfully performed” (Diaro de Àvila). He owes his education to artists such as Arturo Tallini, Carlo Marchione, Paolo Pegoraro, Giuliano Balestra, Oscar Ghiglia. 

He has been awarded Golden Guitar as best up-and-coming artist of 2016 by the renowned International Guitar Convention “M. Pittaluga” – Alessandria. During the years he won more than 30 prizes in national and international competitions and performed repertoire ranging from Renaissance to contemporary throughout Europe, Japan and Korea, both as soloist and in chamber ensembles. In May 2022 he is expected to debut in USA at the famed Carnegie Hall in New York. 

From December 2020 is available – through the Italian label Stradivarius – his first CD recording “Tōru Takemitsu: Complete Works & Transcriptions”, as a celebration of the 90th birthday of the Japanese composer. 

Since 2016 has been teaching in various Italian conservatories; at present he holds a teaching position at Conservatorium “C. Gesualdo da Venosa” in Potenza and he is regularly invited to give masterclasses in Italy and abroad.
