On 18th October 2024, Professor Stephen Goss released his triple album entitled ‘Landscape and Memory’. Released by Deus Elle Classical recordings label, the album has been described as his most ambitious recording project yet.
Composition PhD student Giacomo Susani has just returned from New York after performing his own composition, ‘Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra’ at Carnegie Hall, accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of New York, conducted by Salvatore di Vittorio. The concert in New York was a result of an invitation from the orchestra’s artistic director, Salvatore di Vittorio, after Susani won the Respighi Prize in Composition in 2022. IGRC Deputy Director Milton Mermikides has been appointed the 37th Gresham Professor of Music, a post founded in 1597 delivering free public lectures.
